Purpose
This code sets the expectations we place on ourselves: on our Board, our leadership, our employees, and everyone acting on behalf of RC Infra Construction Ltd. It sits alongside our Modern Slavery Statement, our whistleblowing policy, and our group governance framework.
Our principles
- Integrity. We are honest with clients, colleagues, suppliers and regulators. We do not mislead, and we do not turn a blind eye when someone else does.
- Safety. Safety is not a value we pay lip service to; it is the first design input in every decision we make. We have the right, and the duty, to stop any work that is unsafe.
- Fairness. We treat people with respect regardless of role, background, disability, faith, gender identity, race, age or sexual orientation. Bullying, harassment and discrimination have no place here.
- Anti-bribery and corruption. We do not offer, solicit or accept bribes or improper inducements. We comply fully with the Bribery Act 2010 and the equivalent Irish legislation. Gifts and hospitality are subject to registered thresholds.
- Fair competition. We compete on the merits of our service. We do not engage in price-fixing, bid-rigging or market-sharing.
- Honest reporting. We do not falsify records, whether financial, safety or operational. Near-misses, defects and non-conformances are recorded and acted on, not hidden.
- Conflicts of interest. We declare any personal interest that could influence a business decision.
- Data and privacy. We respect the personal data of colleagues, clients and members of the public, as set out in our privacy policy.
- Environmental responsibility. We plan the environmental impact of our work into the engineering decision. We meet our ISO 14001 commitments and go beyond them where we can.
- Speaking up. Anyone can raise a concern about conduct that falls short of this code. Reports to our whistleblowing line are taken seriously, acted on, and protected from retaliation.
